ANAMBRA'S MASSIVE DEVELOPMENT TRANSFORMATIONS: "WE HAVE NOT YET STARTED" - SOLUDO

The governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR said that the much appraised development transformations of his government within his first term in office is just mere laying of foundation in his vision for the state. The governor made this known to the massive crowd of members of *Odenigbo Political Vanguard (OPV)* who gathered to endorse him for a second term in office.

According to Mr Governor, his vision of turning the state to African Dubai Taiwan is still intact and his first term is focused on laying the necessary foundations.

"The road infrastructure networking the various cities and communities, the recruitment of over 8,150 teachers, the various empowerment programs of youths, the agricultural programmes, the building of new general hospitals, etc are mere foundations for the Smart megacity of Anambra in my mind", Soludo said.

*Odenigbo Political Vanguard*, the largest grassroot political movement in Anambra State led by Hon Sir Chukwudi Umeaba had gathered at Prof Dora Akunyiri Women Development Center to endorse the governor for second term in office. Odenigbo members comprise of former PDP officials from the 326 political Wards in Anambra State and on this day formally decamped to APGA.

Explaining why Odenigbo Political Vanguard members decided to decamp to APGA, Hon Umeaba - a former Anambra State PDP Chairman and a notable political mobilizer - said that Governor Soludo's impressive developmental programmes in just 3 years has made it politically expedient for the governor to run for the second term. In his words, Chief Uchenu Oforkansi, a former Anambra State PDP Deputy Chairman and a coordinator of Odenigbo Political Vanguard in Ayamelum Local Government  equated stopping Soludo from second term to aborting a 7 months pregnancy. Iyom Ifeoma Anyaka, the group's Woman Leader, said that the governor had just in 3 years brought succour to the people of the state through massive infrastructural development especially in the rural areas. She promised that her team  shall mobilize their grassroot members to ensure that the governor is returned for the second term.

Welcoming members of Odenigbo Political Vanguard into APGA, the APGA state Chairman, Barr Ifeatu Obiokoye, told the decampees to feel free and enjoy the unique brotherhood spirit which the party provides for its members.

Other dignitaries from the government team that graced the occasion included the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim
Chief of Staff to Mr Governor, Chief Ernest Ezeajughi (Ikenga Orumba), Deputy Chief of Staff/Chief Protocol Officer to Mr Governor, Hon Chinedu Nwoye Glamour,
Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Political Matters, Dr Alex Obiogbolu, Managing Director of Anambra State Waste Management Authority (ASWAMA), Mr Mike Ozoemena, and many others.

Appraising the event, Chief Arc (Sir) Amobi Nwafor, a board member of Odenigbo Political Vanguard described it as a very significant way of saying that Ndî Anambra are very happy with Governor Soludo for the amazing developmental transformations going on in the state.
